What Makes a Great Rebel-in-Chief?
Communication + Compassion
Friendly but Firm
Our Rebels need to be able to ensuring respect both within the community and between the community and our venues and vendors. This job is largely communication based and will entail sending email updates to families, venues, vendors, and Danielle or their Co-Conspirator.
Passion for Community
Rebels must be passionate about building a community in their area. This can include reaching out to new families, offering tours, hosting outreach events, etc. Each location will do this differently, and our Rebels can identify what their location needs and offer it directly or through other volunteers.

Teacher FAQ
How much do you pay teachers?
Misfit Mash-Op does not pay teachers directly. However, teachers set their price per student and will receive 100% of those funds. Our families expect classes between $15-25 on average. Some teachers offer classes for lower price or free, and some premium supply classes may go well above that price. However, the higher the class cost, the less accessible it is for many families, therefore teachers must balance the cost of the class with class enrollment.
How do I become a volunteer teacher?
To join our team of passionate educators, simply fill out the Teacher Registration Form above. We welcome individuals who are eager to share their knowledge and inspire students.
Can I choose the subjects I want to teach?
What is the cost to teach?
There is no cost to teach classes with Misfit Mash-Op. Please be advised that you are fully responsible for your supply list, and it is highly recommended to consider all potential costs when pricing your class. While you may have access to resources from other teachers, Misfit Mash-Op does not maintain inventory or funds for additional resources.
How does class registration work?
Once teacher sign-ups are in, we build the class schedule and open enrollment to families. When student registration closes, you’ll receive your class roster and full payment—sent via Venmo, PayPal, or cash, based on your preference. Misfit Mash-Op covers all processing fees so you keep 100% of what your class payment.
